Our Next Meeting PDF Print E-mail

October 22, 2015

The meeting at LaBelle Winery will begin at 5:30 PM with registration and a cash bar, followed by a food station at 6:00pm. Our guest speaker will be the owner and winemaker, Amy Labelle.

The discussion will include: Going from start-up (triage mode) to a stable operation that is growing at a rapid pace. She will discuss operations of the various segments of the business: wholesale and retail divisions, 2nd location in Merrimack, Restaurant, Events, and Wine Production as well as The Farm at LaBelle Winery and Vineyards. Also covered will be her Winemaker’s Kitchen Line and our partners. Amy will also share the direction she would like to take the company - her future dreams as well as what it take to be an entrepreneur in the wine and hospitality industry in the NE region.

Formerly a corporate attorney, Amy has had a lifelong interest in wine, which led her to open LaBelle Winery to pursue her passion for winemaking. Amy is attracted to the agrarian lifestyle and the elegance of making excellent wine.

Growing from producing 400 cases to over 10,000 cases annually, Amy has slowly seen her dream realized: to make the best wine she can make – showcasing New England-grown fruit – and to produce a wine that will bring together family & friends to enjoy. LaBelle wines are elegant, enjoyable, easy drinking wines, made with the best and brightest produce. Each bottle is filled with Amy’s love for the ancient art of winemaking.

SPECIAL PRICE FOR THIS MEETING- Members $25.00, Guests $30.00. Don't forget to use your meal tickets!

President's Message

September 23, 2015

Greetings ISM-NH,

Our first event for the current 2015-16 program year held September 17th at Solidscape (Tour) and Common Man (Dinner Discussion) was a great success. The technology and capability of 3D Additive Manufacturing is fascinating and rapidly changing the game for many applications in numerous industries.

Equally impressive to the tight tolerance and precision process capability of the Solidscape 3D Printers, proprietary wax material and software making them a world leader in this technology, is the success of American Manufacturing via Solidscape within the Granite State in Merrimack, NH.

Solidscape is a proven example of American Manufacturing remaining strong. With the largest 3D printing install base with more than 4,000 high-precision 3D printers operating in over 80 countries for the direct manufacturing of solid objects designed in CAD, Solidscape also proves American Manufacturers can be, and are, global leaders.

Our association Treasurer, Andy Gauthier and I – coupled with feedback from many of the attendees, agree it was one of our best tours and dinner discussions. We believe there is value in returning again next year to Solidscape (it was that good) for those who missed it and for those who did attend to see and learn even more – not just about Solidscape and their remarkable products but also Lean Manufacturing and 5S.

Scott DeFreitas, President ISM-NH

ISM-NH is pleased to announce the The Richard V. A change this year is that there is no firm deadline; applications are considered as they are submiitted.

The second scholarship is the ISM-NH Continuing Education Scholarship, which offers financial assistance to current ISM-NH members continuing their education. It is in honor of the many ISM-NH volunteers whose work has allowed this organization to exist and thrive.  Applications are currently being accepted for this scholarship.

Applications and criteria/requirements for both scholarships can be found on the Main Menu to the left under "Scholarships".

New Registration Policy PDF Print E-mail

At times, members register for a meeting and then find that they are unable to attend.  We understand that unexpected issues arise at the last minute. Many members do contact us in that case, and while we appreciate that, if we have already committed to a headcount for the dinner, we are obligated to pay the venue for that meal.  The board has agreed that we will now require notice of cancellation by the meeting registration deadline.  If notice is not given within this timeframe, payment must be made for the meal or a meal ticket must be surrendered.  We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.  PLEASE NOTE: You may send a substitute in your place if you find that you cannot attend; however, please let us know for our records that you are sending an alternative.
